Contract (13 Weeks) | Days | 3x12-Hour Shifts (7:30 AM – 8:00 PM) | Expected 36 hours/week | Every other weekend required | Holidays required as scheduled | Anticipated Start: 11/30/2026

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a fast-paced, high-volume border role managing ED admission, MS/Telemetry, and IMC border patients within scope of practice
• Manage a patient census ranging from a minimum of 10 up to 40 border patients daily across 46 rooms at a 1:6 nurse-to-patient ratio
• Care for patients presenting with a wide variety of complex diagnoses consistent with ED admission, MS/Telemetry, and IMC acuity levels
• Float as required between ED border areas, extender assignments, and MS/Telemetry and IMC units within specialty and scope — travelers are first to float
• Adhere to all unit scheduling expectations including holidays as they fall; pre-scheduled on-call shifts are not required

Required Qualifications

• Active RN license in Maryland or a valid Compact RN license required at time of submission
• BLS certification (AHA only) required
• ACLS certification (AHA only) required
• CPI certification required — the Calm Every Storm online version is currently the only acceptable online vendor
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience required; first-time travelers are welcome to apply
• Must reside 50 or more miles from the facility to be eligible (permanent address required)

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience in a border, high-census, or high-acuity ED/MS/Telemetry environment
• Comfort with floating across units and adapting quickly to varying patient populations and acuity levels
• Familiarity with IMC-level patient care within RN scope of practice
