Radiologic Technologist

• Collaborate with Medical Providers and Medical Assistants through a variety of tasks related to patient care management, organization and communication.
• Exercise professional judgment to provide health care services, including applying x-ray energy to assist in diagnosis or treatment of patients in all age groups
• Responsible for providing a variety of technical procedures and applying prescribed ionizing radiation for radiologic diagnosis
• Provide administrative support to ensure efficient operation of Inova-GoHealth Urgent Care Centers
• Maintain accurate patient records and logging completed procedures in electronic systems and/or logbooks as required
• Conduct preliminary physical tests (blood pressure, weight, temperature, etc.) for vital signs and elevate critical cases to provider as needed.

Requirements High School Diploma required Graduate of an approved Radiologic Technologist program required Experience in a clinical setting preferred Basic Life Support (BLS) required at the time of hire, obtained through the American Red Cross (ARC) or American Heart Association (AHA) American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) registration required at time of hire State licensure as a Radiologic Technologist is required at the time of hire (if applicable by state law) Core Competencies Demonstrates expertise in Radiologic Technology, including the application of ionizing radiation for diagnostic purposes, while ensuring patient care management and accurate record-keeping. Proficient in conducting preliminary physical tests and collaborating effectively with medical professionals.
