Hartford Hospital , an 867-bed tertiary care academic medical center in Hartford, Connecticut, is seeking a board-certified/board-eligible Acute Care Surgeon to join a high-volume, well-established, and expanding Acute Care Surgery (ACS) service . Affiliated with the University of Connecticut School of Medicine, Hartford Hospital is a designated American College of Surgeons (ACS) Level I Trauma Center and serves a regional catchment population of over 1.5 million.

As part of Hartford HealthCare’s nine-hospital integrated system, this role offers the opportunity to practice at one of the highest-volume surgical hospitals in the Northeast within a rapidly growing academic and clinical environment.

The Acute Care Surgery division provides comprehensive, multidisciplinary care across trauma surgery, surgical critical care, and emergency general surgery .

    This is a salaried position. While compensation is presented as an hourly rate for consistency across our postings, this position is paid on a salary basis. The hiring range reflects a good faith estimate of pay for this position as of the posting date. Actual pay will be determined based on qualifications, location, internal equity, and other factors that may include hire bonuses, incentive pay plans, loan repayment, administrative stipends, or relocation.
