$20–$22/hour
Full-Time | Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
About the Role
A growing healthcare organization specializing in infusion and enteral therapy services is seeking a compassionate and detail-oriented Patient Intake & Customer Service Representative to join their Syracuse team.
This role is part of the Intake Department and plays a critical role in coordinating new patient referrals, verifying insurance coverage, and ensuring a smooth and supportive onboarding experience for patients and referral partners.

Key Responsibilities
- Receive, review, and process new patient referrals
- Gather and verify patient demographic, clinical, and insurance information
- Verify insurance benefits, authorizations, and patient financial responsibility
- Communicate with patients, caregivers, and referral sources regarding services and expectations
- Serve as a primary point of contact for patient questions and support
- Coordinate with clinical, pharmacy, and operations teams to ensure timely care
- Maintain accurate documentation in compliance with HIPAA regulations
- Follow up with referral sources and internal teams to ensure complete and accurate information
Qualifications
Required:
- 1–2 years of customer service experience
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Comfortable using multiple systems and performing data entry
Preferred:
- Healthcare, medical office, intake, referral, DME, infusion, or home health experience
- Insurance verification or authorization experience
- Familiarity with payer guidelines or reimbursement processes
