Cardiovascular Operating Room Technician

Job Description

The Cardiovascular Operating Room Technician will play a critical role in supporting a dedicated Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR) team. This position is responsible for assisting in various cardiac procedures, including CABG (Coronary Artery Bypass Grafting) and valve replacements/repairs. The successful candidate will effectively collaborate with cardiac surgeons, perfusionists, and surgical techs to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

Responsibilities

Scrub independently for open heart cases.
Assist with vein harvesting using endoscopic and open techniques.
Support other service lines, including vascular and general surgery, based on case volume and needs.
Familiarity with common cardiac instrumentation and sterile setup.
Adapt to floating as required to different surgical specialties.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

Must have comprehensive experience in cardiovascular surgical procedures and a well-rounded background in related service lines, including vascular and general surgery.
Experience with standard CVOR equipment, including heart-lung (bypass) machines and cell savers.
Strong adaptability to various surgical environments and instrumentation.

Assignment Duration

This is a 13-week contract position.
