Relationship Manager, Alternative Investment Funds

About the Role The Investment Manager Services Division (IMS) at SEI is expanding its Relationship Management and Client Service team. As a Relationship Manager, you will be responsible for managing and growing the overall relationship with assigned clients, ensuring revenue attainment, and delivering an exceptional client experience. Responsibilities Grow existing revenue and maintain target revenue and profitability through a trusted and consultative relationship. Deepen and broaden strategic relationships at the C‑suite level, executive buyers, and key influencers. Develop an intimate understanding of clients’ business, objectives, and competitors to provide tailored solutions. Design and manage client account plans and conduct annual account reviews. Lead the strategic planning and annual business planning process with clients. Act as a consultant by identifying, presenting, and marketing innovative recommendations on industry trends, product differentiation, new market opportunities, and success stories. Collaborate with the team to refine service offerings and manage client expectations. Ensure client referenceability as evidenced by Net Promoter Score (NPS). Develop forecasts for existing business using a Client Business Plan and current profitability data. Identify, assess, and cross‑sell solutions and services, maximizing product profitability. Contribute to the market unit’s success by participating in department‑wide initiatives to improve effectiveness. Build and sustain relationships with SEI team members and other stakeholders such as Account Managers, Solutions, Operations, Marketing, and Wholesalers. Leverage internal intellectual capital and share success stories. Expand industry knowledge and network. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related field (or equivalent experience). Minimum 10 years of investment management or operations experience, preferably in alternatives. Excellent client service skills grounded in SEI Client Experience Principles. Strong ability to connect with clients and establish trusted relationships. Positive, hard‑working, and diligent attitude. Proven project‑management skills. Self‑motivation and drive to manage multiple client deliverables without compromising excellence or quality. Strong written and verbal communication skills; primarily supporting clients via email and phone. Willingness to travel up to 10% of time. Drive to learn new systems and concepts, with a broad industry knowledge. Collaborative approach with internal and external stakeholders. Flexibility to adapt to changing client needs.
