Inventory Logistics Manager

We’re a growing distribution business that has outgrown how we manage inventory. We hold product in our own warehouse, store customer-owned inventory, and drop-ship — across two locations and two accounting systems. We need one person to own this end to end: run the warehouse, own shipping and logistics, and bring real rigor to inventory accounting and controls. This is a build-and-run role for someone who has cleaned up an inventory function before and wants to own it. What you’ll do Own inventory accuracy across two sites, including customer-owned, company-owned, and drop-ship inventory Run quarterly physical inventories and ongoing cycle counts; reconcile counts to the system and resolve variances Own the connection between physical inventory and the books — inventory GL, COGS, and shrinkage — across our ERP and a separate QuickBooks instance Stand up better systems and controls, including a barcode/scanner process to sign items in and out Lead the day-to-day shipping and receiving operation (parcel, LTL, common carrier, international) and the physical organization of the warehouse Manage warehouse staff across both sites and develop the team Partner with sales and technical teams on orders that are ready to ship and on integration projects What we’re looking for 7+ years in inventory, warehouse, or logistics management in distribution, 3PL, or manufacturing Hands-on experience building or cleaning up a perpetual inventory function and running cycle counts / physical inventories Solid grasp of inventory accounting: inventory asset, COGS, shrinkage, and the difference between customer-owned, company-owned, and consignment/drop-ship inventory Comfortable in an ERP (NetSuite a plus; QuickBooks experience helpful) and strong in Excel Experience managing warehouse staff; multi-site or multi-entity experience a plus Not above getting on the floor — you’ll lead a count yourself and need to be comfortable in the warehouse (ability to lift 50 lbs) Why this role This is a chance to own and modernize a function from the ground up, not inherit a machine that already runs.
