We are dedicated to focusing on comfort and symptom management while improving the quality of life in an atmosphere of dignity, compassion and hope.CenterCare Hospice is looking to add a Pueblo Registered Nurse for PRN to their team.The ideal candidate will be compassionate, empathetic and able to dedicate themselves to our goal of providing the highest quality of care that focuses on the patient’s physical, emotional and spiritual needs.RN- Job Summary: Provide nursing care in the patient’s place of residency in accordance with current federal, state, and local standards, guidelines, and regulations that govern our organization, and as may be required by the Director of Nursing or designee.RN- Essential Job Functions:Administer services within the applicable scope of nursing practiceDetermine the scope and frequency of services needed based on the acuity of the patient and the family/caregiver needsAssess the ability of the caregiver to meet the patient’s needs upon admission and throughout careCommunicate with physicians, care team, patients and family members effectivelyConsult with and educate the patient and family/caregiver regarding the disease process, self-care techniques and end of life careRequisition and arrange for diagnostic and therapeutic services, as ordered by the physician, and in accordance with established proceduresFollow drug administration protocol, to include the disposal of drugs and narcotics as required, and in accordance with established proceduresPerform charting duties as required and in accordance with established charting and documentation policies and procedures and applicable state and federal regulationsReview care plans to verify that appropriate care is being rendered. Communicate to the care teamEducationMust possess, as a minimum, a Nursing Degree from an accredited college or university, or be a graduate of an approved RN programSpecific RequirementsMust possess a current, unencumbered, active RN licenseMust have current CPR/BLSMinimum 1 year of Hospice experienceMust have reliable transportation and proof of auto insurance coverageMust pass a pre-employment background check and drug test #J-18808-Ljbffr
