TITLE: BARBACK

Barbacks are to properly store, secure, handle, care for and issue goods, materials, and merchandise for all bars and cocktail stations.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Maintain and clean the bars constantly to ensure department of health and safety codes are met.
2. Maintain all assigned equipment in a proper working manner, reporting all problems, damaged and general conditions as required to the Beverage Supervisor.
3. Continually monitor, maintain, and clean all areas of responsibility.
4. Set up the bars for opening, and cut all fruit needed.
5. Ensure the entire bar areas security at all times. Watch for any intoxicated guests and abuse problems.

Qualifications

QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS:

1. Must be 21 years of age.
2. High school graduate or equivalent.
3. Have the ability to provide excellent guest service and communication skills.
4. Have the ability to keep up with an ever-changing pace.
5. Computer literate or knowledge of how to use point of sale and computers.
6. Have the ability to speak with the guests about complaints and know when to involve the manager/supervisor.
7. Able to obtain and retain a gaming license through the Tule River Tribe Gaming Commission.

PHYSICAL AND ENVIRONMENTAL:

1. Must have the ability to organize and lift 80lbs of weight.
2. Must be able to work/stand (be on your feet) for long periods of time.
3. Noise levels range from low to high with the pace of the casino/bar.
4. Exposed to flashing lights and ringing bells while on the casino floor.
5. The immediate work environment is partially a smoking environment.
