Location: National Mississippi River Museum & Aquarium
The Dubuque County Historical Society (DCHS) and National Mississippi River Museum & Aquarium (NMRMA) are seeking a customer-oriented and friendly full-time housekeeper to create a clean and orderly environment for our guests and staff. This position works rotating weekends and some evening special events.

Primary duties
• Perform a variety of cleaning activities such as vacuuming, wiping down restrooms, sweeping, mopping, dusting, sanitizing, and polishing
• Replenishes toilet paper, paper towels, sanitizer, soap, and other toiletries
• Empties and cleans trash cans and recycling bins
• Assist with laundry management, including washing and drying
• Respond to calls for housekeeping problems, such as spills, or dirty restrooms
• Monitor and report on the inventory of cleaning supplies
Additional duties
• Participate in Bloodborne Pathogens Training and Fire Extinguisher Training annually
• Follow all federal, state, and organizational requirements for safety and sanitation
• Use appropriate chemicals, equipment, and supplies where required
Qualifications
• Must be able to read, write, and speak the English language.
• Must possess strength and endurance to perform the physical demands of all listed duties with or without accommodation.
• Must be physically capable of extended periods of standing, walking, kneeling, bending, climbing, and heavy lifting up to 50 lbs.
