Sunnys Roadside Assistance aims to deliver professional, courteous service at all times, with an emphasis on safety and customer satisfaction.Role Description The Roadside Assistance Operator and Mobile Mechanic is a contract, on-site role based in El Paso, TX. In this position, the individual responds to service calls, assesses vehicle issues on the roadside, and performs tasks such as jump-starts, flat tire changes, lockout assistance, fuel delivery, and minor mechanical repairs. The role includes driving to customer locations, communicating clearly with customers about the issue and solution, and documenting services performed. The operator is also responsible for maintaining tools and equipment, following safety protocols, and coordinating with dispatch or management to handle multiple calls efficiently. Flexible availability, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, may be required to support customer needs.QualificationsAbility to diagnose common roadside and minor mechanical issues and perform basic repairs safely and efficiently.Competence in using standard automotive tools, equipment, and diagnostic aids for on-site service work.Strong customer service and communication skills to explain issues, next steps, and safety considerations clearly.Reliable driving skills with a valid driver’s license, clean driving record, and comfort navigating throughout El Paso, TX.Capacity to work independently in the field, manage time effectively, and handle multiple calls with minimal supervision.Commitment to safety practices, including proper lifting techniques, use of protective gear, and adherence to traffic regulations.Previous experience in roadside assistance, automotive repair, or a related field is preferred.High school diploma or equivalent; relevant automotive certifications or training are a plus.
