Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport, located in Atlanta, Georgia, is the busiest airport in the world by passenger traffic and aircraft movements. Situated about 10 miles south of downtown Atlanta, it spans over 4,700 acres of land. Atlanta VA Medical Center (VAMC), a Joint Commission, designated medical facility sits on 26 acres in Decatur, Georgiajust minutes from downtown Atlanta. The main medical center is a level 1A tertiary care facility providing patient-centered healthcare via an array of comprehensive medical, surgical, geriatric specialty services, as well as state-ofthe-art diagnostic testing throughout 14 sites of care. With 466 inpatient beds, including a 120-bed Community Living Center, a 40-bed domiciliary, and a 21-bed Residential Treatment Program, the Atlanta VAMC is uniquely positioned to serve the healthcare needs of more than 130,000 enrolled Veterans living in 50 counties across northeast Georgia. The Medical Center, also a teaching hospital, provides hands-on and state-of-the-art technology, education, and research to residents in collaboration with Emory University School of Medicine and Morehouse School of Medicine.

GI Lab Responsibilities (listed are included but not limited to):

• Must provide professional nursing care for the GI patient.
• Perform esophageal and anal/rectal manometry procedures.
• Assist physicians during EGD/Colonoscopy, Bronchoscopy/EBUS, and Cardioversion/TEE procedures.
• Maintain professional relationships with staff and physicians.
• Provide perioperative teaching, IV placement, and preparation for a procedure.
• Provide safe and effective care of the post anesthesia patient and teach discharge instructions.

GI Lab RN Requirements:

• Must be a graduate with a Diploma for a Bachelor or Master's program of Registered Nursing. The institution must be accredited through the ACEN/CCNE.
• Must be Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR)/Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certified through the American Heart Association.
• Shall have completed an accredited course in an IC/Cath Lab Nursing as well as certification in Moderate Sedation or equivalent. In lieu of Gastroenterology certification, candidates must possess at least 5 years clinical experience in an ICU or other critical care environment and must have worked within the last 6 months in one of the above settings.
• 3 years' experience as a Registered Nurse or equivalent in an Intensive Care setting to include Critical Care/GI Lab experience.
• Must have a valid, unrestricted, RN License at least one state, territory, or commonwealth of the United States.
