Powder Coater Overview: We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Powder Coater to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for applying durable powder coatings to various metal products, ensuring high-quality finishes that meet company standards. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment where precision, safety, and efficiency are paramount. The ideal candidate will have a strong mechanical aptitude, experience with industrial painting processes, and a proactive approach to materials handling and fabrication tasks.

Powder Coater Pay: $20-26/hour (Plymouth, MN)

Powder Coater Shift: Monday - Friday, 7 am to 4 pm with OT eligibility

Powder Coater Key Requirements:

• 2+ years experience powder coating
• Experience using warehouse management systems
• Knowledge of mechanical systems, machining, welding, and fabrication techniques is highly advantageous
• Hands-on experience with forklift operation, crane usage, and materials handling in a warehouse setting
• Understanding of lean manufacturing practices to promote continuous improvement
• Ability to use precision measuring instruments such as calipers or gauges accurately
• Basic math skills for measurements, calculations, and quality checks

Powder Coater Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare metal parts and components for coating by cleaning, sanding, or masking as needed using hand tools and power tools
• Operate powder coating equipment, including spray booths and coating systems, to apply even coats of powder finish
• Monitor coating thickness and quality using precision measuring instruments and ensure adherence to specifications
• Manage materials handling tasks such as loading parts into ovens using forklifts
• Maintain a clean work area by following safety protocols and performing regular equipment maintenance
• Conduct visual inspections of finished products for defects or inconsistencies and perform touch-ups or rework as necessary
• Follow lean manufacturing principles to optimize workflow, reduce waste, and improve overall efficiency
