You will team up with the General Manager to guide the crew, keep things running smoothly, and boost sales. Crew Chiefs receive training for different jobs and can advance within the company. How You Will Drive Success Work directly with the GM to ensure consistent revenue growth through growing guest count and lead measure performance such as core sales mix, MultiCare, and Core Plus. Coach and execute excellent customer service while creating an exceptional guest experience. Set a positive example as a leader while building team engagement and efficiency. Develop teammates by leveraging our internal training program and providing ongoing guidance, coaching, and direction. Ensure quality control measures and processes are followed consistently. Carry out other duties and projects necessary for the position, such as inventory, cash handling processes, guest issues and concerns, and work with the District Manager on critical initiatives. Assist the GM with budgeting, sales forecasts, financial performance, expense controls, etc. Provide clear and detailed direction to the team consistently. Ensure the service center is clean, safe and presentable per the Guide to Excellence (GTE). Provide guidance and mentoring to automotive technicians and CSAs. Perform opening and closing duties when the GM is off. Assist the GM in building and maintaining an engaged workforce that reflects customer volume and business need. Lead daily team huddles and store meetings. Set direction for achieving business goals. Manage inventory and product order to meet business needs. Adhere to and hold others accountable to all rules and regulations that maintain a safe and productive work environment for teammates and guests. Assist guests with their questions and needs – in person, electronically, or by telephone. Under the Hood – What You’ll Need One to three years of retail management experience; professional automotive experience not required. Exceptional oral and written communication skills. Proven leadership ability to inspire and motivate diverse groups. Sound business sense and comprehensive understanding of the retail industry. Ability to analyze, comprehend, and recommend financial objectives that increase sales and service results. Positive, helpful attitude and professional conduct and appearance at all times. Enjoyment of and energy for a fast‑paced, flexible, high‑performance retail environment. “Guest First” mindset. Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Capacity to stand on feet on hard surfaces like concrete or metal. Environment with hot and cold temperatures, loud noises, and exhaust fumes. Ability to lift and move items up to 50 pounds. Must be at least 18 years old.
