Regional Banker/Teller

Position Overview As a BSS‑RRT within PNC’s Parkway Region Retail Banking organization, you will be based in Newark, NJ. The role focuses on managing the customer experience by identifying opportunities to improve financial wellbeing and increase share of wallet. Job Responsibilities Identify opportunities to improve customers’ financial wellbeing and create loyalty while increasing share of wallet. Participate in proactive sales and service activities and identify referral opportunities across a variety of customer interactions. Collaborate with ecosystem partners and internal teams to grow customer share of wallet and position PNC solutions for new revenue. Drive proactive sales conversations through outbound calling, service to sales, teller interactions, appointment setting, and effective lobby engagement. Provide a full PNC conversation with every client interaction to identify appropriate PNC solutions. Leverage ecosystem partnerships to acquire, expand, and retain relationships. Educate customers on options for managing financial transactions using technology, tools, and resources. Apply product and procedural knowledge to identify, mitigate, and solve customer problems effectively to drive loyalty. Manage risk by adhering to all policies and procedures, demonstrating sound judgment within established limits. Ensure teller and branch daily operations and maintenance transactions are completed efficiently and accurately. Qualifications 1+ years of related experience in a retail banking or customer‑focused role. Knowledge of banking products, customer experience, and proactive sales techniques. Strong customer‑focused mindset and ability to tailor solutions to customer needs. Ability to manage multiple priorities, work independently, and collaborate in a matrix environment. Problem‑solving skills and experience working with technology tools. Understanding of risk management and ability to identify and avoid loss. High school diploma or GED required; university degree is not required but experience is preferred. Education & Certifications No degree or certification required. A combination of education, job‑specific certification(s), and experience (including military service) may be considered. Pay Base salary: $40,500 – $67,500 per year, varying by geographic location and individual skills, experience, and education. The role is incentive eligible with payment based on company, business, and/or individual performance.
