Position Overview

Description of Responsibilities

• Conduct a diverse range of ultrasound tests, including abdominal, obstetric, gynecological, vascular, and small parts evaluations
• Prioritize patient comfort and safety during imaging, offering clear and empathetic explanations at each stage
• Work in partnership with radiologists and referring medical professionals to produce high-quality diagnostic imagery
• Ensure smooth operation and upkeep of imaging equipment, addressing any issues immediately
• Maintain meticulous records and documentation within the electronic health system
• Stay informed of developments in ultrasound imaging methodologies and emerging best practices

Education Requirements

• An Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Diagnostic Medical Sonography or a related discipline
• Preferably, completion of a CAAHEP-accredited Sonography program

Certifications Required

• Current certification by the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) or a comparable certification
• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification preferred
