We focus on meeting patients where they are, connecting them with essential health resources, support services, and care coordination. Role Overview As an Optician, you play a vital role in ensuring our patients receive the correct eyewear based on their prescriptions. You’ll work closely with doctors and patients to select, measure, and fit eyewear, enhancing their quality of life through improved vision. Your attention to detail and commitment to patient care are essential in this hands‑on role. What You Will Do Select, measure, and fit eyewear based on doctors' prescription specifications. Ensure accurate and comfortable eyewear for patients. Complete all required training courses as directed by Henry Ford Optimeyes. Provide excellent customer service to patients throughout the eyewear selection process. What You Will Need Required Qualifications High school diploma or GED. Ability to walk, bend, and stand for extended periods of time. Preferred Qualifications Previous computer experience and basic math skills. Previous customer service, retail, or hospitality experience.
