Our client is a dedicated subcontractor for a major package delivery service. We are looking for dependable, hardworking Delivery Drivers who enjoy staying active, working independently, and providing excellent customer service. This is a physically demanding position with opportunities for overtime, especially during peak holiday seasons.

Routes only in Broome County!

Position Overview

As a Delivery Driver, you will safely operate a delivery vehicle and efficiently manage daily package deliveries and pickups within an assigned route. Drivers are responsible for maintaining delivery schedules, meeting pickup windows, and ensuring packages arrive safely and on time.

This position requires a strong work ethic, reliability, and the ability to handle a fast-paced environment while working both in and out of the vehicle throughout the day.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver and pick up packages along an assigned route.
• Handle packages ranging from small envelopes to items weighing up to 150 pounds using carts, dollies, and proper lifting techniques.
• Enter and exit the delivery vehicle frequently throughout the day (often 100+ times daily).
• Utilize an iPad, delivery scanner, and other technology to manage deliveries and pickups.
• Follow routing and scheduling requirements to meet designated delivery and pickup time windows.
• Provide professional and courteous customer service.
• Maintain a safe driving record and adhere to all company safety standards.
• Complete all required documentation and electronic tracking accurately.

Qualifications

Required

• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
• Ability to lift and move packages weighing up to 150 pounds with assistance from carts or dollies when appropriate.
• Strong attendance and reliability.
• Comfortable working in various weather conditions.
• Ability to effectively use technology, including scanners and tablet devices.
• Strong time management and navigational skills.

Background Requirements

• Felony convictions are not eligible for consideration.
• Certain misdemeanor offenses may be considered on a case-by-case basis.

Schedule

• Report time: 8:30 AM daily.
• Typical return to terminal: Approximately 6:30 PM.
• Routes operate Monday through Saturday throughout most of the year.
• During peak holiday season, operations may run Monday through Sunday.
• Overtime opportunities are available during peak periods.
• Additional days are available for drivers who want extra hours, but not all 6-7 days are required.
