Kean Miller is seeking an experienced Oil & Gas Title Opinion Contract Attorney. Qualified candidates will possess a minimum of 3 years of experience in oil and gas, mineral title, energy transactions, property law, or related regulatory matters. Experience with Texas mineral law is strongly preferred. Responsibilities Assist clients with upstream oil and gas matters, including mineral title examination, leasehold title opinions, and due diligence. Support large‑scale mineral acquisition projects, mineral leasing, surface use agreements, and complex upstream transactional work. Draft and negotiate farm‑out/farm‑in agreements, joint operating agreements, purchase and sale agreements, servitudes, conveyances, and other energy‑related contracts. Conduct legal research, prepare title opinions, and assist with curative work and transactional documentation. Support CCUS projects, including carbon sequestration servitudes, lease agreements, and related regulatory compliance. Collaborate with clients, landmen, in‑house counsel, and regulatory agencies to advance operations and transactions. Requirements 3 years of experience drafting oil and gas title opinions in Louisiana preferred. Strong understanding of Texas mineral law preferred. Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast‑paced environment. Strong analytical skills and ability to problem solve.
