Description
The Office for Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) Program Coordinator ensures the highest level of execution of programming related to diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging. Supporting the Director of DEI and Community Engagement's direction, the Program Coordinator provides project management and administrative support for departmental initiatives and priorities. Successful candidates are service-oriented, highly organized, and skilled in planning and execution. They thrive in managing multiple high-impact projects simultaneously while fostering positive relationships across the school community. The ideal candidate demonstrates exceptional judgment, discernment, discretion, and professionalism; works with a strong sense of urgency, and is energized by a fast-paced, highly relational environment. This individual must be comfortable receiving direction, translating strategic priorities into action, and exercising sound judgment when navigating sensitive situations and complex interpersonal dynamics.

Supervisory Responsibilities: None
Position Status: Salaried, non-exempt, full-time, 11-month*
Hours of Work: 7:30 - 4:00, Monday - Friday. Evening and weekend work may be required.
* This position does not report June 15 - July 15 or Academic Holidays.
REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's degree or higher preferred
- Previous experience in roles related to DEI, cultural competence, or faith-based work preferred
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to engage effectively with individuals from a wide range of backgrounds, experiences, and perspectives
- Demonstrated ability to support multiple priorities simultaneously, respond with a sense of urgency, and maintain exceptional attention to detail in a fast-paced environment
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively across multiple departments, divisions, and stakeholder groups within a complex organization
- Demonstrated proficiency with scheduling, organization, project management, and event coordination
- Demonstrated initiative, adaptability, resilience, and problem-solving skills
- Demonstrated proficiency with technology, including Google Workspace, spreadsheets, calendaring software, project management tools, databases, and emerging technologies
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Programmatic Support: Supports the implementation of departmental goals and strategic priorities established by the Director of DEI and Community Engagement by coordinating projects, tracking progress, managing logistics, and ensuring timely execution of key initiatives.
- Event Coordination: Supports the planning, implementation, and evaluation of schoolwide diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging initiatives, including professional development activities. Coordinates with parent affinity groups, alumni councils, and community stakeholders as needed to support execution of initiatives.
- Budget Support: Supports DEI budget administration, including monitoring expenditures for all schoolwide programming. Assists with purchase requests, reimbursement processing, and vendor payments.
- Data Support: Supports the collection and maintenance of data reports on DEI programming, participation, and impact to inform departmental planning, assessment, and continuous improvement.
- Administrative Assistance and Support: Provides administrative support to the Director of DEI and Community Engagement and to divisional DEI teams, including calendar support, correspondence, purchasing, reimbursement processing, meeting coordination, preparing materials, vendor support, and recordkeeping.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT
While performing the duties of this position, the employee is required to sit; stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, and feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; climb stairs; balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, and crawl; and talk and hear. The employee may occasionally lift or move up to 20 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this position include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. The ability to become CPR and First Aid Certified is required.
While performing the duties of this position, the employee may occasionally be exposed to outside weather conditions and frequently walk on slippery or uneven surfaces. The noise level in the work environment is often loud.
Westminster is a drug-free, smoke/vape-free campus.
TRAVEL
Travel is primarily local during regular business days. Overnight and out-of-area travel may be necessary, primarily for planned events, conferences, and professional development opportunities.
Driving a Westminster vehicle may be required for this position.
