Description

American Traveler is hiring a Med/Surg Tele RN for a night shift travel position requiring a compact or NM RN license and a minimum of two years experience.

Details

• Med/Surg Tele unit within a hospital setting, 15-bed unit on the 2nd floor
• Adult and geriatric patient population, mostly geriatric
• Patient ratio of 5:1
• Uses GE equipment and Medhost EHR
• Night shift schedule, 7P-7A
• Weekend requirement of minimum 4 hours per month, every other weekend
• No on-call requirements
• Rarely required to float to assist other units

Requirements

• Active RN license (Compact or NM) currently in hand
• Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, and PALS
• Minimum of two years RN experience required
• Experience caring for surgical patients required
• Stepdown unit experience and ability to read/interpret telemetry strips preferred
• Nursing license required as minimum education

Additional Information

• Provide direct patient care to adult and geriatric med/surg and telemetry patients
• Work under the supervision of the Director of Inpatient Services
• Team-oriented environment requiring a positive attitude and ability to work with limited resources
• Scrub color is unrestricted
• Must not have worked as permanent staff at any LifePoint facility within the past 12 months
• Cannot be employed elsewhere full time while on assignment
• Must reside more than 60 miles from the facility to be eligible for the travel assignment
