New Increased Rates!!!Part Time and Full Time Schedules AvailableProvides oral health care, dental health education, and remediable intraoral procedures to patients in the hospital clinic.Essential Functions:Examines patients' teeth and gums to identify any oral health issues.Cleans teeth by removing plaque, tartar, and stains.Educates patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and provides advice on diet and lifestyle choices that can impact oral health.Administers local anesthesia and applies cavity-preventive agents such as fluoride and sealants.Takes and develops dental X-rays to help diagnose dental problems.Keeps detailed patient records and maintains a clean and sterile work environment.Education Requirement:Graduate of an accredited dental hygiene school, required.Bachelor's Degree, preferred.Licensure Requirement:Licensed to practice in the State of Ohio, required.Certifications:Certified in CPR, required.Skills:Robust communication skills, required.Demonstrates ability to treat and teach healthy and medically compromised patients.Possesses strong manual dexterity.Experience:Six months of relevant experience, preferred.Physical Requirements:Occasionally: Biohazard waste, Climb stairs/ladder, Cold Temperatures, Hot Temperatures, Interpreting Data, Lifting / Carrying: 21-40 lbs, Lifting / Carrying: 41-60 lbs, Lifting / Carrying: 61-100 lbs, Pushing / Pulling: 100 lbs or greater with assistance, Pushing / Pulling: 26-40 lbs, Pushing / Pulling: 41-60 lbs, Pushing / Pulling: 61-100 lbsFrequently: Bend/twist, Chemicals/Medications, Decision Making, Flexing/extending of neck, Lifting / Carrying: 11-20 lbs, Loud Noises, Machinery, Problem solving, Pushing / Pulling: 0-25 lbs, Reaching above shoulder, Sitting, Squat/kneel, StandingContinuously: Audible speech, Blood and/or Bodily Fluids, Color vision, Communicable Diseases and/or Pathogens, Computer skills, Depth perception, Fume /Gases /Vapors, Hand use: grasping, gripping, turning, Hearing acuity, Lifting / Carrying: 0-10 lbs, Patient Equipment, Peripheral vision, Repetitive hand/arm use, Seeing – Far/near, WalkingAdditional Physical Requirements performed but not listed above:Potential for Radiation Exposure,Demanding environment.Will need to be able to multitask.Talking on phone/in person Constantly (67-100%)"The above list of duties is intended to describe the general nature and level of work performed by individuals assigned to this classification.
