We are seeking a highly skilled Tool & Die Machinist to build, modify, and maintain high-precision injection molds and tooling. In this role, you will work on components measured in microns and use advanced tool room equipment to solve complex manufacturing challenges.

Available Shifts

• 2nd Shift
• 3rd Shift
• 12-Hour Weekend Shift

Key Responsibilities

• Build and modify high-precision molds and tooling using saws, mills, grinders, and lathes.
• Machine complex mold parts while maintaining extreme accuracy down to the micron.
• Read blueprints and interpret engineering drawings, technical documents, and CAD/CAM files.
• Inspect and troubleshoot existing molds using precision measurement and microscope equipment.
• Collaborate with teams including engineers, project leaders, and production staff to keep projects moving.
• Lead project tasks and direct work for other team members when assigned as the project lead.

Requirements & Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• 2-year Tool & Die degree OR 4 years of tooling/mold making experience is preferred.
• CNC machining experience with standard metalworking tool room equipment.
• CAD/CAM software knowledge such as Mastercam, AutoCAD, and SolidWorks.
• Strong math skills including whole numbers, fractions, decimals, ratios, and trigonometry.
• Problem-solving skills to understand cause-and-effect issues in mold making.

Physical & Work Environment Demands

• Lift up to 55 lbs. occasionally.
• Stand for long periods and handle very small parts using tweezers or microscopes.
• Wear safety glasses and work around machining residues like steel chips, grinding dust, and oils.
• Work overtime when needed to meet toolroom deadlines.
• Travel occasionally for company business or offsite training.
