The Arc of Centre County is hiring Part-Time Weekend-only DSP Generalists to support adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities in group homes throughout Centre County. Generalists are assigned to multiple residential programs. This is an excellent opportunity for applicants with previous DSP experience!Job Title: Direct Support Professional (DSP) / Program GeneralistPay: $19 hour + Shift Differentials + Up to $600 Sign-On & Stay-On BonusLocation: Multiple Group Homes in Centre County (State College, Bellefonte, and/or Howard)Schedule: 24-32 hours on Weekends; Part-TimePrevious DSP Experience Preferred; All Training is Paid!Schedule & PayStarting pay: $19/hourUp to $600 sign-on/stay-on bonus in 2026Additional $1/hour shift differentials for nights, weekends, and holidaysBenefits401(k) Retirement PlanMileage reimbursement if using a personal vehicle for approved transportationPaid training & professional development (26 hours per year)Required Qualifications18+ years of ageHigh School Diploma or GEDValid driver's licenseAble to pass required physical, and TB screeningAble to assist with physical supports including lifting, bending, standing, and transferring as neededPreferred QualificationsExperience working with intellectual and developmental disabilities and autism (IDD/A)Experience in direct care, caregiving, behavioral health, or healthcareWhat You'll DoAs a Direct Support Professional, you'll help adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities live more independent, fulfilling lives by:Assisting with daily living skills, including cooking, hygiene, and household routinesAdministering medications and following support plansProviding transportation to appointments and community outingsBuilding meaningful relationships while making a difference every dayWhat Makes This Role UniqueThe Program Generalist position offers the opportunity to work across multiple residential and community-based programs throughout Centre County. We are looking for individuals with DSP experience and weekend availability.Growth OpportunitiesProfessional Credentialing: Earn DSP credentials through NADSP and receive an additional $1/hour for each level, up to $3/hour.Cross-Program Experience: Explore opportunities in Residential Services, Community Programming, Supported Living, and Employment Services.Internal Promotion Culture: Many of our supervisors, directors, and executive leaders began their careers as DSPs.About the RoleThe Arc of Centre County is hiring Full-Time and Part-Time Program Generalists/Direct Support Professionals to support adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities in group homes throughout Centre County.
