A well-established and growing structural steel contractor is seeking an experienced Steel Estimator to join its team. With a strong project backlog, ongoing expansion plans, and clear progression opportunities into senior leadership positions, this is an excellent opportunity for a motivated professional looking to make a long-term impact within a respected industry leader. Day to Day Review drawings, specifications, and bid documents. Perform quantity take-offs for structural steel and miscellaneous metals. Price materials, fabrication, erection, coatings, freight, and connections. Obtain and evaluate subcontractor and supplier quotations. Assess labour requirements and project costs. Identify project risks, scheduling constraints, and constructability challenges. Prepare detailed estimates, budgets, and bid proposals. Attend bid review meetings with company leadership. Liaise with general contractors, architects, engineers, and project stakeholders. Support project handover and contract negotiations following award. Requirements Minimum 5 years of structural steel estimating experience. Strong knowledge of structural steel fabrication and erection. Proficiency with Bluebeam and Microsoft Excel. Ability to read, interpret, and analyse construction drawings. Established relationships with major general contractors and industry contacts. Track record of generating or securing approximately $2M-$3M+ of work annually. Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
