Electrical EIT

Electrical Engineer – EIT Position: Electrical EIT (Entry‑Level) Responsibilities Plan sheet, detail drawings, specifications, and construction cost estimate development for construction projects Electrical field inspection and troubleshooting Construction submittal reviews (e.g., shop drawings) Conduct analyses to develop electrical design options or recommendations, and assist in the preparation of cost estimates and specifications Complete projects with clear, specified objectives and limited variables Other entry‑level tasks through the schematic design development and contract document phase of any project Perform routine electrical engineering assignments under instruction from the Project Engineer or Project Manager Work with assistance from Project Engineers, other Electrical EITs or Technicians as needed Perform other duties as needed Preferred Qualifications Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or Architectural Engineering with an Electrical emphasis Previous experience with an architectural/engineering or engineering consulting firm Experience and/or interest in sustainable design/LEED desired but not required Previous internship or employment experience with an architectural/engineering or engineering consulting firm, construction contractor, or similar industry employers for electrical infrastructure projects Candidates who reside locally in the Portland, OR area are preferred Desire to pursue growth opportunities and obtain professional registration Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or Architectural Engineering with an Electrical emphasis Engineer in Training (EIT) certificate Previous internship beneficial Strong computer skills using AutoCAD, Microsoft Office, Revit, SKM, AGI and Easy Power Desire to pursue growth opportunities and obtain registration Commitment to participating in employee‑owned culture Employment Information Location: Portland, Oregon, United States Industry: Highway + Road Schedule: Full‑time Employee Status: Regular Business Class: Bridges and Structures EEO Statement At HDR, we are committed to the principles of employment equity.
