Application Support Analyst

Key Responsibilities

8+ years of relevant Application/Production Support experience

Provide

L1/L2 application support

for business-critical applications. Monitor applications, jobs, interfaces, and system health. Investigate, troubleshoot, and resolve application incidents and production issues. Perform root cause analysis and implement corrective actions. Analyze application logs, errors, and system behavior to identify issues. Write and execute

SQL queries

for data validation and troubleshooting. Coordinate with development, infrastructure, database, and QA teams for issue resolution. Manage incidents, service requests, and problem tickets within defined SLAs. Participate in production deployments, releases, and post-deployment validation. Create and maintain support documentation, troubleshooting guides, and knowledge articles. Identify recurring issues and recommend opportunities for automation and process improvement. Participate in on-call/rotational support as required. Communicate effectively with technical teams and business stakeholders regarding incidents and resolutions. Required Skills Experience in

Application Support / Production Support

. Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills. Good knowledge of

SQL and relational databases

. Experience working with application logs and monitoring tools. Understanding of

REST APIs and application integrations

. Experience with incident, problem, and change management. Familiarity with

ITIL/service management processes

. Experience with ticketing tools such as

ServiceNow, Jira, or similar

. Good understanding of software development and deployment lifecycle. Strong communication and stakeholder management skills. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced production environment. Nice to Have Experience supporting

Java/.NET or web-based applications

. Knowledge of Linux/Unix and shell scripting. Experience with cloud platforms such as

AWS or Azure

. Experience with application monitoring tools. Knowledge of CI/CD and DevOps practices. Banking/Financial Services or enterprise application support experience. Experience with automation and scripting.
