Company: Job Description: Asahi Kasei Bioprocess America, Inc. (AKBA) is currently looking for a Laboratory Technician to join our team! The individual in this role will be responsible for supporting the day-to-day operations of the process laboratory, including preparing and maintaining reagents and equipment, ordering and organizing supplies, and supporting research and development activities as needed. The technician will also be responsible for assisting with manufacturing operations for products to be used by GMP manufacturing facilities. The technician is expected to understand and follow all SOPs and business practices to ensure that performance and documentation of all activities meet the highest standards of quality and safety. Organization and attention to detail is important along with a hardworking attitude and the ability to function within a team. Assist field staff with shipments of equipment for studies as necessary Qualifications/Requirements: Bachelor’s in Biochemistry, Microbiology, Chemical or Biomedical Engineering or similar scientific discipline Experience in a laboratory setting is strongly desired Ability to work in a Biosafety Level 2 laboratory is required. Experience in a GMP or GLP environment is a plus Physical Demands/Environmental Conditions: Ability to work in a Biosafety Level 2 environment. Ability to lift up to 25 lbs. The base compensation range for this role is $22-26/hour. Base Compensation is influenced by many factors including, but not limited to: time in the role, previous experience, skills, knowledge, performance, work requirements, internal equity, and business / economic conditions.
