Georgia Licensed Inpatient Coder

Virtual Vocations Inc

Offering a $7,500 sign-on bonus, the full-time Georgia Licensed Inpatient Coder will work onsite Monday through Friday, from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, providing accurate assignment of ICD-10 diagnostic and PCS procedural codes for inpatient hospital encounters. Key responsibilities Reviews medical records to identify diagnoses and procedures, assigning appropriate ICD-10 codes Abstracts diagnostic and procedural codes into the network system as per policy and procedures Monitors assigned work queues, addressing any missed documentation and coding as necessary Required qualifications High school diploma or equivalent Minimum of three years of experience in a hospital inpatient setting Certification as a Registered Health Information Technologist (RHIT), Registered Health Information Administrator (RHIA), Certified Coding Specialist (CCS), or Certified Inpatient Coder (CIC)
