Java Full-Stack Developer New York City / Weehawken NJ (100% onsite) W2 contract Job Description We are seeking a skilled Java Full-Stack Developer with strong experience in React to join our development team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, testing, and maintaining scalable web applications using Java-based backend technologies and modern frontend frameworks. Candidate will collaborate with product managers, designers, QA engineers, and other developers to deliver high-quality, secure, and user-friendly software solutions. Responsibilities Design, develop, and maintain web applications using Java and Spring Boot. Build responsive, reusable, and high-performance user interfaces using React.js. Develop and integrate RESTful APIs and backend services. Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code. Work with relational and non-relational databases such as PostgreSQL, MySQL, Oracle, or MongoDB. Participate in the complete software development lifecycle, including requirements analysis, design, development, testing, deployment, and support. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and translate them into technical solutions. Develop unit, integration, and functional tests to ensure application quality. Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve application issues. Participate in code reviews and contribute to engineering best practices. Optimize application performance, scalability, and security. Support CI/CD pipelines and cloud-based deployments where applicable. Stay current with emerging technologies and recommend improvements to existing systems. Required Qualifications Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience. 9+ years of professional experience in Java development. Strong knowledge of Java, Spring, and Spring Boot. Hands-on experience building applications with React.js. Proficiency in JavaScript, HTML5, and CSS3. Experience developing and consuming RESTful web services. Strong understanding of object-oriented programming and software design principles. Experience with SQL databases and database design. Familiarity with Git and modern software development workflows. Knowledge of unit testing frameworks such as JUnit, Mockito, Jest, or React Testing Library. Strong problem-solving and communication skills. Preferred Qualifications Experience with TypeScript, Redux, React Hooks, or Next.js. Familiarity with microservices architecture. Experience with Docker and Kubernetes. Knowledge of cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud. Experience with messaging technologies such as Kafka or RabbitMQ. Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies. Experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, or Azure DevOps.
