Registered Nurse (RN) specializing in Labor and Delivery (L&D) is needed for a 13-week assignment at a healthcare facility located in San Antonio, Texas. The position involves providing specialized maternal care, including vaginal deliveries and Caesarean sections, in a busy womens pavilion. The role requires a commitment to safety, patient-centered care, and collaboration within a multidisciplinary team.

Job Details:

• Location: San Antonio, TX
• Unit: Labor and Delivery (Womens Pavilion)
• Shift: Nights, 7:00 PM 7:30 AM (12 hours)
• Schedule: 36 hours per week
• Assignment Length: 13 weeks
• Required Qualifications: Active Texas Registered Nurse (RN) license; 2+ years of hospital/specialty experience; certifications in BLS, ACLS, and NRP; experience in fetal monitoring (above certification level); proficiency with Meditech documentation system; ability to float as needed.
• Preferred Qualifications: Advanced fetal monitoring certification; additional certifications or skills related to obstetric nursing.
• Documentation System: Meditech / CPN mainly
• Procedures Performed: Vaginal deliveries, Caesarean sections
• Special Skills: Critical thinking, scientific judgment, technical skills, leadership, and effective communication.
• Dress Code: Navy scrub top and pants or navy/white scrub jacket; neat, clean hair; body art must be covered; minimal piercings.
• Float Policy: As needed.
