Gray Construction is looking to add a Project Controls Manager to its Data Center Team in either our Atlanta, GA, Birmingham, AL, Dallas, TX or Lexington, KY Office.

Responsibilities include project setup, budget management, risk management and financial reporting, supporting cost estimates for projects in the industrial arena, mentoring and/or training other project team members, working within boundaries of various contracting methods, developing and maintaining relationships with subcontractors and third party auditors, preparing various reports to successfully manage the project(s), estimating efforts relative to the project(s) and proposal preparation efforts, managing project controls teammates, participating in risk analysis, executing responsibilities including project cost work breakdown structure and job cost set up, developing project invoice schedule of values, coordinating subcontractor prequalification enrollment, managing the project cost tracking log, preparing project change request and customer change orders, preparing PO requisition, trending project cost and reporting deviations from plan, preparing monthly general conditions projections and tracking log, completing project cost segregation for project close out, managing project tax incentives and reporting where applicable, preparing projects for close-out, providing support for job cost audits and project-specific cost reporting requirements, preparing weekly and monthly project financial reports, developing, updating and monitoring job progress, performing quantity take off(s), cost estimates and bid solicitation, supporting project manager in reviewing and approving invoices and change orders, assisting in the preparation of various reports to assist in the successful management of the project(s), assisting in the organization and maintenance of job files to ensure continuity of work flow, communicating effectively with direct consultants and subcontractors on the project(s), and other job duties as assigned.

Qualifications

The successful candidate will have a Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university in accounting, mathematics, construction management, finance or related degree. The new team member is required to have five to seven years of experience in construction management, accounting or project controls. CMIC, Textura, or similar constriction financial system experience is a plus. Experience leading Project Controls efforts for projects relevant to large industrial construction is preferred. Overtime will be required. Travel will be required. Specific vision abilities include accurate near and distant vision.

Frequently in a normal office environment where noise level is moderate and temperature/humidity is controlled. Occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions, moving mechanical parts, and outside weather conditions. May be exposed to high, precarious places, fumes or airborne particles, extreme cold and/or heat, risk of electrical shock, explosives and vibrations. Noise level on the job site is normally moderate to loud.

Supervisory Responsibilities

Will supervise multiple project support team members.
