Our mission is to help individuals build independence, strengthen community connections, achieve personal goals, and live life on their own terms.Job Summary:As a DSP, you will provide support to individuals in their homes and communities, helping them develop life skills, participate in meaningful activities, build relationships, and increase independence. This is far more than a caregiving role - you will serve as a mentor, coach, advocate, and trusted support to help individuals live fuller, more connected lives.Key Responsibilities:Provide individualized support to help individuals participate in community activities, recreation, volunteer opportunities, and social eventsAssist individuals in developing friendships and building natural supportsEncourage independence and self-advocacySupport participation in religious, cultural, and community activities when desired by the individualAssisting with daily living skills, personal care, and health supportProvide transportation to approved activities and appointments when requiredComplete accurate and timely service documentationQualifications:High School Diploma or GEDValid driver's license and reliable transportationAbility to pass all required background checks and screeningsAbility to complete required training and certification requirementsStrong communication and interpersonal skillsCompassionate, patient, and dependableAbility to work independently and exercise sound judgmentPreferred Qualifications:Experience supporting individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities ORExperience in healthcare, caregiving, education, behavioral health, or human servicesCPR, First Aid, or Medication Administration certificationsBilingual candidates are encouraged to applyPhysical Requirements:Ability to travel throughout assigned service areasAbility to lift, transfer, or assist individuals when required by the support planAbility to stand, walk, bend, reach, and perform physical activities associated with community-based support servicesAbility to respond appropriately in emergency situationsPay$18.50-$23/hourBenefitsWeekly PayrollHealth Insurance24-hour Support from the Kindly in office/on call teamW2 Employee StatusAt Kindly, we recognize that exceptional care starts with exceptional caregivers.
