Senior Data Platform Engineer
Virtual Vocations Inc
To support the development of a robust data infrastructure, the full-time Senior Data Platform Engineer will define technical vision, lead cross-team initiatives, and architect systems for data ingestion and processing in a remote environment. Key responsibilities Define and guide the technical vision for the DGX Cloud Data Platform, overseeing architecture and growth Lead the technical delivery of complex initiatives, transforming requirements into well-defined architectures and coordinating implementation Architect and implement batch and streaming systems for telemetry data across multiple environments and consumers Required qualifications 8+ years of relevant industry experience with a Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience; a Master's degree is preferred Proven track record in crafting, implementing, and operating production software or data platforms Strong experience with distributed processing, analytical databases, and backend/cloud systems handling large data volumes Proficiency in SQL and data modeling, including experience with schema evolution and cross-system correctness Demonstrated skill in diagnosing system failures and applying long-lasting solutions
