Education: Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing Program or an accredited College RN degree. QUALIFICATIONS:Minimum of three (3) years experience in long term care or a combination of long term care and acute care. Knowledgeable of nursing and medical practices and procedures, as well as laws, regulations and guidelines that pertain to long term care.The Nursing Care Coordinator is responsible for coordinating all direct nursing services to patients/residents in collaboration with the unit nursing staff. The Nursing Care Coordinator functions as a geriatric nursing specialist, and resource to the staff on the units and to other institutional departments as necessary. Responsible for supervision of house during "off" shifts.
