Lead Window & Door Installation Technician

Location: Mukwonago, WI
Wage: Negotiable Based on Experience

Callen Construction has been transforming homes throughout southeastern Wisconsin for more than 40 years. We are seeking an experienced Lead Window & Door Installation Technician who takes pride in craftsmanship, leads by example, and delivers an exceptional customer experience on every project.

What You'll Do

· Lead a two- to four-person installation crew while maintaining productivity, quality, and professionalism.

· Review project scope, materials, and installation plans before work begins.

· Install residential replacement windows and doors using full-frame and insert installation methods.

· Complete interior and exterior finish work, including aluminum wrapping, cedar, LP SmartSide, trim, and casing.

· Safely perform demolition, removal, and disposal of existing materials.

· Assign daily responsibilities and mentor apprentice and junior installers.

· Inspect completed work to ensure compliance with manufacturer specifications, company standards, and building codes.

· Troubleshoot field conditions and communicate solutions with the Production Manager.

· Serve as the primary on-site contact for homeowners and maintain excellent customer communication.

· Complete job documentation including material shortages, change orders, and project notes.

· Maintain company vehicles, tools, trailers, and equipment.

· Enforce OSHA safety requirements, lead-safe work practices, and maintain a clean, organized jobsite.

· Perform final walkthroughs with homeowners to ensure complete satisfaction.

Qualifications

· 7+ years of residential window and door installation experience.

· Previous experience leading installation crews.

· Strong finish carpentry skills including trim, cabinetry, aluminum brake work, cedar, and LP finishes.

· Ability to read work orders, installation specifications, and construction drawings.

· Comfortable working on ladders, scaffolding, and elevated work areas.

· Excellent communication, leadership, and customer service skills.

· Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.

· Ability to drive company trucks and pull trailers.
