Travel Pediatric RN

Role Overview The Pediatric RN provides comprehensive, age-appropriate care to pediatric patients across clinical settings, ensuring safety, comfort, and family-centered support. Key Responsibilities Assess pediatric patient health, develop and implement care plans, administer treatments, and monitor responses. Explain procedures to children and families to foster understanding and reduce anxiety. Administer medications, prepare pediatric-specific equipment, and assist physicians during treatments and examinations. Ensure patient safety, observe vital signs, and respond to emergencies following protocols. Document assessments, interventions, and patient responses accurately. Collaborate with families on care plans and provide education on treatments and health topics. Participate in quality improvement initiatives and adhere to safety and regulatory standards. Qualifications & Skills One year of recent pediatric RN experience and valid RN license per state regulations. Current BLS certification; PALS or ENPC required; NRP preferred. Strong critical thinking, communication, and interpersonal skills. Proficiency in reading, writing, and using PC tools. Physical ability to move equipment and assist patients; capable of working under pressure. Effective collaboration with healthcare teams and families.
