Telemetry Registered Nurse (RN)We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Telemetry Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team. The RN will play a critical role in providing high-quality care to patients in a telemetry nursing unit.Position DetailsUnit: TelemetryShift Length: 12 hoursGuaranteed Hours: 36 or 48 hours rotating bi-weeklyPatient Ratio: 5-6 patients per RNWeekend Requirement: Every other weekendHoliday Requirement: YesEssential ResponsibilitiesProvide exceptional patient care in a telemetry setting, addressing needs and comfort.Monitor and interpret cardiac rhythms, ensuring prompt intervention when necessary.Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to create comprehensive care plans.Titrate medications, specifically Heparin, as per protocols and patient requirements.Educate patients and families on health management and disease processes.QualificationsMinimum of 2 years of Med/Tele nursing experience required.Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required.Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification preferred.Strong communication and time management skills.Experience in rural hospital settings is preferred.Work EnvironmentThe RN will work in a 25-bed unit where patient care is a priority. Travel nurses are valued and contribute significantly to our team; however, applicants should be ready to adapt to a dynamic work environment with varying staff levels.Orientation and TrainingNew hires will undergo unit-specific orientation and training, including shadowing experienced staff to ensure a seamless integration into the team.Additional InformationEquipment Utilized: CPAP, BiPAP, and high-flow respiratory equipment.Charting System: Utilizes Paragon; transitioning to EPIC on October 30, 2026.Nurse Aides (PCTs) are available to assist with patient care, with a 12:1 patient care ratio.If you are a proactive and skilled RN looking to make a difference in patient care within a supportive team environment, we encourage you to apply.
