This role is ideal for an engineer who enjoys working hands-on with electrical testing, troubleshooting complex technical issues, and partnering with development teams to bring safe, reliable products to market.The primary focus of this position is IEC 60601 electrical safety testing and product verification, making it a great opportunity for candidates with strong laboratory, testing, and compliance experience within medical devices or other regulated industries.What You'll Be DoingPerform and support IEC 60601 electrical safety testing for medical device productsExecute and document: Leakage current testingGround continuity testingHipot testingInsulation resistance testingSingle fault condition testingDevelop and execute verification and validation test protocolsTroubleshoot electrical safety test failures and support root cause investigationsPartner with R&D teams to implement corrective actions and design improvementsReview schematics and technical documentation to support product testing activitiesWork directly with third-party testing laboratories and certification organizationsDocument test results, findings, and recommendationsSupport product development teams throughout the verification and certification processRequired QualificationsBachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related fieldExperience performing IEC 60601 electrical safety testingHands-on laboratory experience with electrical test equipmentStrong understanding of electrical safety principles and compliance testing methodologiesExperience with troubleshooting, failure analysis, and root cause investigationsAbility to develop and execute test protocolsExperience collaborating with engineering and quality teamsStrong documentation and communication skillsPreferred QualificationsMedical device industry experienceExperience supporting verification and validation activitiesFamiliarity with EMC testing (IEC 60601-1-2)Knowledge of ISO 13485 or regulated product development environmentsExperience working with external certification or testing laboratoriesRisk analysis and product safety experienceWhat We're Looking ForThe ideal candidate is someone who has been directly involved in electrical safety testing rather than simply reviewing compliance reports.
