Pride Materials, Inc. is a trucking and aggregate supply company based in Surprise, Arizona. We're looking for an experienced Diesel Mechanic to join our team and help keep our fleet running safely and efficiently.
Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Diesel Mechanic to perform maintenance and repairs on our fleet of heavy trucks and trailers, including Super 16's, Simple 16's, Super 18's, Simple 18's, and End Dumps. The ideal candidate has strong diagnostic skills, hands-on experience with heavy-duty diesel equipment, and takes pride in quality workmanship.
Responsibilities:
- Perform routine preventive maintenance and inspections on trucks and trailers
- Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues
- Perform DOT-required inspections and ensure compliance with safety standards
- Repair or replace brakes, tires, engines, transmissions, and other components as needed
- Maintain accurate service and repair records
- Respond to roadside/on-site repair needs as required
- Keep shop area clean, organized, and safe
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a diesel mechanic, preferably with heavy trucks and trailers
- Knowledge of DOT regulations and inspection requirements
- Ability to diagnose and repair engine, transmission, brake, electrical, and hydraulic systems
- Valid driver's license (CDL a plus, not required)
- Own tools
- Ability to lift heavy parts/equipment and work in various weather conditions
- Strong work ethic and reliability
