Licensed Vocational Nurse (Private Residence) – Shift Care City of Buena Park Work Schedule: Monday through Sunday, Morning Shift, Mid Day Shift, Night Shift. Hours flexible. Availability: Full-Time & Part-Time. Pay: $30.00 - $31.00 per hour + $500 bonus. Keeping families whole by providing the care they need to stay together! Job Summary A qualified Licensed Practical/Vocational Nurse provides one-on-one skilled nursing care to patients on an hourly (shift care) basis in their place of residence, following physician orders and the care plan under RN supervision. Qualifications Graduate of a state‑approved school of practical (vocational) nursing and currently licensed in California. 1 year of nursing experience desirable, new graduates welcome. Current CPR certification. Acceptance of the agency’s philosophy and goals. Ability to exercise initiative and independent judgment. Responsibilities Understand and adhere to established policies and procedures. Implement the nursing care plan for each patient. Provide nursing services, treatments and diagnostic and preventive procedures as assigned. Initiate preventive and rehabilitative nursing procedures as appropriate. Observe signs and symptoms and report to physician and RN reactions to treatments, including drugs and changes in the patient’s physical or emotional condition. Teach and counsel the patient and family/significant others regarding nursing care needs and other related problems at home. Prepare clinical and progress notes.
