Reason for Need: Expansion of the Emergency Department and a permanent backfill.

All physicians in our team are trained and board-certified in Emergency Medicine; therefore, the locum must also meet these qualifications. We are currently prioritizing candidates who hold an active license in Alabama.

• Shift Timing: 5 PM to 3 AM
• Monthly Shift Requirement: 5 to 8 shifts
• Start Date: Shifts are available starting in June, with flexibility to accommodate individual availability.
• Coverage Duration: Potential coverage needed through the end of the year; while the exact timeframe is uncertain, ongoing needs are anticipated as we complete our expansion.

• Annual Visits: Over 60,000, indicating high acuity.
• Trauma Center Level: Level 2 trauma center.
• Stroke Center: Comprehensive stroke center.
• Staffing: 7 physicians available for coverage within a 24-hour period.
• Fast Track: An independent fast track service staffed by Advanced Practice Providers (APPs).
• Electronic Medical Records: Utilizes Epic.
• Credentialing Timeframe: Approximately 60 days.
