Sales and Business Development Specialist

 

Position Overview:  We are seeking a high-energy, self-motivated and results-driven Sales and Business Development professional to join our local staffing agency team to help expand our market presence and drive revenue growth.

In this role, you will act as the primary engine for business expansion and growth by identifying new sales opportunities, building strategic partnerships, and turning cold prospects into revenue generating clients. This is an active, outward-facing position for a professional who loves networking, pitching innovative solutions and closing deals. This is a fully on-site role that requires a mix of phone prospecting, client-facing meetings, and local networking. Reliable transportation is a must.

 

Key Responsibilities:

-B2B Account Acquisition:  Identify and target local businesses, manufacturers, warehouses, or corporate offices to find new avenues for business growth.

-Outbound Prospecting: Conduct daily cold calls, drop-ins, and email communications to schedule meetings with hiring managers, decision makers, and other company/organization leaders and executives.

-Relationship Management: Act as the primary point of contact for new accounts, ensuring smooth on-boarding and strong service delivery.

-Market Tracking: Stay updated on local employment trends, hiring spikes and competitor activities to position our agency effectively.

-Internal Collaboration: Work hand-in-hand with our internal Employment Specialist and Front Office Coordinator to ensure we can successfully fill the new jobs being brought into the agency.

 

Qualifications and Skills:

-Experience: 2+ years of experience in B2B sales (experience specifically within staffing, recruiting or human resource sales is highly preferred).

-Education: High School diploma/GED equivalent required; a bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field preferred. 

-Local Knowledge: Strong familiarity with the local business landscape and commercical hubs.

-Communication: Excellent face-to-face, phone, and written communication skills with the ability to influence decision-makers at all levels.

-Drive: Highly competitive, goal-oriented, and comfortable handling rejection while maintaining persistence.

-Tech Savviness: Experience or familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite and modern CRM tools.

 

Pay: $25 per hour plus commission and bonus structure.
