Veterinary Technician/Wildlife Rehabilitator

Veterinary Technician/Wildlife Rehabilitator Conduct in‑house rehabilitation and work with veterinarians and home‑based rehabilitators. Participate in rescues, transportation and re‑nesting efforts. Assist with hotline calls. Be flexible enough to handle the seasonality of wildlife rehabilitation. Some night and/or weekend work required. Maintain WRMD medical database. Manage state/federal permit reporting. Additional Areas of Responsibility Interact well with volunteers and other nonprofit organizations and government agencies. Work hand‑in‑hand with our social media team to provide images and stories. Some operations are onsite with some remote work on a case‑by‑case basis. Company vehicles may be available. Other Information/Requirements Three years veterinary technician/wildlife rehabilitation under veterinary supervision. One year managing volunteers in an animal treatment setting. Intermediate/advanced wildlife rehabilitation skills including handling, nutrition, physical exam, injections, gavage feeding, and subcutaneous fluid administration.
