Job Title

Registered Nurse – ICU Float Pool

Location

Augusta, GA

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Days | Full-Time | Onsite | 3x12-Hour Shifts (7:00 AM – 7:00 PM)

Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as a float pool RN with primary floating to ICU, with additional float coverage to MS, MS/Tele, PCU, Neuro ICU, and CVICU units as needed
  • Provide direct patient care to an adult through geriatric patient population across a variety of medical-surgical and critical care diagnoses
  • Maintain safe patient ratios: 1:2–3 in ICU, 1:4–5 in PCU, and 1:5–6 in MS/MS Tele settings
  • Accurately document patient care and clinical information using Epic and Pyxis systems
  • Communicate effectively using SBAR methodology with interdisciplinary care teams
  • Work every other weekend and adhere to holiday coverage expectations per assignment guidelines

Required Qualifications

  • Active RN licensure in Georgia or a Compact state
  • Minimum of 1 year of RN experience (first-time travelers accepted)
  • Current BLS, ACLS, and NIH Stroke Scale certifications required
  • Proficiency with Epic (required), Pyxis, and SBAR communication
  • Willingness and ability to float across multiple units within the facility
  • All RTO must be finalized at time of submission; no RTO or schedule changes permitted post-offer or during orientation week

Preferred Experience / Skills

  • Experience in ICU, Neuro ICU, CVICU, PCU, or MS/Tele settings
  • Prior travel nursing experience with demonstrated flexibility in float pool or multi-unit environments
  • Familiarity with bi-weekly hospital orientation schedules and compliance-driven onboarding processes
