Job Summary The Sonographer for our Maternal Fetal Medicine (MFM) clinic performs ultrasound examinations and records the findings, including routine and specialized procedures. Responsibilities Performs nuchal translucency scans per established standards and guidelines. Completes fetal surveys. Performs hysterosonograms, as well as 3D-4D scans. Assists with IUD checks, amniocentesis, and other related procedures. Evaluates the images for their quality and interprets what was captured. Documents and updates information in the patient’s electronic medical record. Represents the clinic in a professional manner and treats all customers, internal and external, courteously and cooperatively. Attends required meetings and participates in team activities and professional development activities. Demonstrates and embodies Women’s Care mission and core values. Complies with all HIPAA rules, regulations, and guidelines. Performs other duties as assigned. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent. Valid OB/GYN ARDMS certification. Minimum of 2 years of recent MFM experience. Experience with 3D-4D scans. Excellent bedside manner and interpersonal skills. Ability to multi-task in a stressful, deadline-oriented environment. Ability to communicate with coworkers, providers and patients courteously and effectively. Ability to use a computer and enter data in an electronic medical record system (eCW a plus).
