Packaging SpecialistThe Packaging Specialist sets up, tends, cleans and changes over machines that perform one or more packaging functions such as depalletizing, conveying, rinsing, cleaning, filling, marking, labelling, packing, sealing, indexing, palletizing, or wrapping containers and packs by performing the following duties. This role is full-time. The schedule is four 10's Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday, 8am-6pm. This schedule may vary based on production needs.Responsibilities:Stop the job for safetyPerforms duties necessary to maintain clean and sanitary packaging halls/lines.Prepares and starts machines, observes operations to detect malfunctions and potential concerns for safety, quality, product integrity, or productivity.Stops and starts machines as necessary to accommodate production variables or make adjustments. Reports adverse conditions to departmental leadership.Inspects primary, secondary, and tertiary packaging components, codes, and products to ensure that product is packaged according to specifications.Feeds packaging material and components to conveyors, hoppers, or other feeding devices, and unloads packaged product.Connects, cleans, and sanitizes piping from bright beer storage vessels to and through fillers via automated and/or manual methods. Tends to transfer from bright beer storage vessels through filling machines to primary packaging containers.Reports or records production and non-production data on designated forms in a timely, complete, and accurate manner. The noise level in the work environment can be in excess of 85db.Compensation $19 - $21 depending on experience.
