Permanent & Holiday Lighting Installer

Location: Oceanside, CA and North County San Diego
Pay: $18–$30 per hour, depending on experience

About the Position:

Epic Refresh is a local, veteran-owned company seeking a dependable installer to help us deliver clean, professional permanent and seasonal lighting installations throughout North County San Diego.

You will install low-voltage permanent lighting systems, Govee permanent outdoor lights, and professional custom-cut holiday lighting on residential and commercial properties. This is active outdoor work involving ladders, rooflines, basic hand tools, and careful attention to detail.

We’re looking for someone who takes pride in doing the job correctly, respects customers’ properties, and works safely at heights.

Responsibilities:

• Install permanent exterior lighting systems according to manufacturer specifications.
• Install Govee permanent outdoor lighting.
• Measure, cut and install professional custom-fit holiday lighting.
• Secure tracks, clips, fasteners, wiring, controllers, and power supplies cleanly.
• Route and conceal wiring for a polished finished appearance.
• Test completed systems and troubleshoot basic installation issues.
• Safely climb, position, and work from extension ladders.
• Work safely on residential rooflines using required fall-protection procedures.
• Protect landscaping, roofing, and exterior surfaces during installation.
• Maintain an organized jobsite and clean up after each project.
• Communicate professionally with customers and team members.

Required Qualifications:

• Comfortable working on ladders and residential rooflines.
• Comfortable using drills, drivers, measuring tapes, cutters, and basic hand tools.
• Able to follow installation plans and manufacturer instructions.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to clean workmanship.
• Dependable, punctual, and able to work outdoors.
• Able to lift and carry ladders, tools and installation materials.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
• Willing to follow all company safety and fall-protection procedures.

Preferred Experience:

Experience in any of the following is valuable:

• Permanent or holiday-light installation.
• Low-voltage experience.
• Roofing, solar, gutters, or exterior construction.
• Cable routing and weather-resistant connections.
• Ladder and fall-protection safety.
• Leading or training another installer.
• Critical thinker.

Previous lighting experience is preferred but not required for a dependable candidate who is mechanically inclined, comfortable at heights, and eager to learn.

Compensation and Opportunity:

Pay ranges from $18 to $30 per hour , based on verified experience, safety awareness, workmanship, and ability to complete installations independently.

Applicants capable of safely leading installations may qualify for the upper end of the range.

Work volume increases during the fall and holiday season, with the opportunity to take on additional responsibility as the company grows.
