Kforce has a client that is seeking a Bookkeeper in Blue Springs, MO. Summary: This Bookkeeper will be responsible for managing core accounting functions, including account reconciliations, transaction review, cash flow support, and financial record maintenance. This role requires strong QuickBooks experience, exceptional attention to detail, and the ability to identify and resolve discrepancies independently. The successful candidate will serve as a trusted member of the accounting team and contribute to the overall financial health and operational success of the organization. Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain accurate financial records in accordance with company policies and accounting principles
- Perform account reconciliations and analyses to ensure completeness and accuracy of financial data
- Monitor banking activity and investigate discrepancies in a timely manner
- Support cash management activities, including cash flow tracking and reporting
- Prepare, review, and maintain accounting documentation and supporting schedules
- Assist with month-end, quarter-end, and year-end accounting processes
- Ensure financial transactions are properly recorded and coded within the accounting system
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to resolve accounting issues and improve financial processes
- Support audits, reporting requests, and special projects as assigned
- Perform other accounting and bookkeeping duties as needed
- 3+ years of bookkeeping, accounting, or finance experience
- Strong experience with account reconciliations and financial record maintenance
- Proficiency with QuickBooks
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to manage workload independently and meet deadlines
