Bookkeeper Position
PrideStaff is currently seeking a Bookkeeper to join our team for a client in the Lockport, IL area! You will be responsible for preparing and examining financial records. This is a TEMP to HIRE position.
1st Shift, Monday-Friday 8:00am-5:00pm
Pay Rate: $18-$22 (DOE)
Responsibilities:
- Obtain primary financial data for accounting records
- Compute and record numerical data
- Check the accuracy of business transactions
- Perform data entry and administrative duties
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in accounting, finance, or other related fields
- Fundamental knowledge of GAAP
- Ability to prioritize and multitask
- Strong organizational skills
- Deadline and detail-oriented
Skills and Qualifications:
- Previous experience in bookkeeping or other related fields
- Excellent typing skills
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Reliable and trustworthy able to maintain confidentiality
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook required
- Able to read, write, and perform mathematical computations
- Computer literate, able to type 55+ wpm with a high degree of accuracy
